No one knows for sure where the term originated or who was responsible for creating the first of these tiny treats. Cupcakes are traditionally kid-friendly because they are small in size, simple in flavor and easy to eat. Today, the cupcake has taken a turn and become more refined, more enchanting and more versatile. They are showing up everywhere, from birthday parties and baby showers to company functions and weddings. While chocolate and vanilla will always be a favorite amongst cupcake purists; the door has been opened for more adventurous flavors, such as raspberry and champagne. When it comes to the future of cupcakes the flavors and design ideas are limited only by your imagination. Here at Piece of Cake we pride ourselves on being a cupcake only bakery. 48 hour notice is required for any order of 1-3 dozen. 72 hour advance notice is required for any order exceeding 3 dozen and any size custom order. We prefer that payment be made in advance via Pay Pal, but other arrangements may be taken into consideration.

There are no costly membership fees and
you only purchase cupcakes when you want them.
The cost is always $22.00 which includes a dozen cupcakes in six different flavors, special packaging, a flavor guide that details the flavors of that month and a coupon for a discount off your next order.
"Sweeties" will receive a monthly email with the details of that month's special; flavors, pick up date and time are always included as well as the RSVP date. You must RSVP by the date listed or you will miss your chance and have to wait until the next month!

Q: How long will my cupcakes stay fresh?
A: We recommend enjoying the cupcakes the same day they are purchased, but they can be stored in an airtight container overnight and enjoyed the next day. Cupcakes with whipped cream filling or topping should be refrigerated and allowed to come back to room temperature before serving.
Q: Can I request custom flavors or decorations?
A: Of course! If you don't see your favorite flavor on the menu please ask. Additional fees may apply to custom flavors and/or decorations.
Q: Do your cupcakes contain nuts?
A: We do have nuts and nut products in our kitchen so your cupcakes may come in contact with them during the baking and/or decorating process.
Q: Can I place an order the same day I need it?
A: We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for orders up to 3 dozen. Orders of 4 dozen or more and any size custom order require at least 72 hours notice. We appreciate as much notice as possible and lead times may be longer on weekends or during holidays.
Q: Do you ship your cupcakes?
A: Regretfully, at this time we are unable to ship our cupcakes. While we work out the kinks in the shipping process, delivery is available in the greater Cleveland area and surrounding suburbs for a nominal fee.
Q: Do you offer tastings for weddings?
A: Yes, we offer [cup] cake tastings for the bride-to-be, groom-to-be and up to 2 additional guests. The cost of the tasting is $5.00/person and if the engaged couple decides to book their wedding with us, the cost of the tasting is deducted from their final bill. Please email us for more details or to schedule your tasting.
Q: Do you offer variety dozens?
A: Regretfully, at this time we do not offer variety dozens on a consistent basis. However, if you join our cupcake club the "Sweet Treat Society" once a month you will have the opportunity to purchase a variety dozen that showcases 6 of our cupcake flavors. Please email us for further details or to become a "Sweetie".
